Hi, I'm Jen.
I love cake. I love how cakes make memories even better. I adore making cakes, especially for friends and family, and I have fun writing about my adventures in baking and caking here on this blog. I don't have any formal pastry training and have learned everything I know about cake from the Universities of Youtube, Pinterest and Google. My day job has me running a golf course in the Niagara region of Ontario, Canada with my awesome husband and our two elementary school-aged daughters.
So why did I start baking? As it turns out, I've harbored an undercover passion for baking cakes for my entire life, thinly veiled as an overt passion for eating cakes. I started baking rather frequently before we bought the golf course, while on maternity leave with our second baby, mainly as a means to maintain my sanity in a home with a toddler and a swaddler. I would send surplus cupcakes in to work with my husband, which in turn, resulted in his colleagues requesting cakes of their own.
I spent years baking out of my home kitchen for friends and family, but am now very excited to have an official commercial kitchen at the golf course where I can let my cake hobby run free. Email me at [email protected] for a quote.
